Affordable Housing Project To Rise In East Harlem

Officials say the East Harlem building will contain more housing units than were previously at the site, allowing residents who had once lived there to come back.

"They organized and galvanized themselves to ensure that they had the ability to come back to whatever is built here," said City Councilwoman Melissa Mark-Viverito.

Monday's announcement and other ones concerning new development projects may be government-related, but they could also help the mayor on the campaign trail.
